Areas of Focus
There are two distinctly different coaching streams within my practice.
As a Corporate Coach I work with you to help you develop and strengthen aspects of your leadership skills and abilities. Often, coaching may be very targeted to address specific areas and/or issues identified by management or the performance review process. Typical issues have included: presentation skills, leadership presence, managing others more effectively, developing persuasion/influence skills, reading others, organizational skills.
As a Life Coach I am here to help you to realize your dreams. Big dreams, little dreams… it doesn’t matter. Not sure what they are? We can work on that! Lacking a sense of direction or feeling some challenges to attaining your dreams? We can work on that!
Regardless of the focus, having a Coach is really an opportunity to have someone in your corner that is there to support you in your efforts. To not only ask the tough question but to help you to find the answers and, quite frankly, to kick you in the butt and get you moving! In short, I provide structure, accountability, direction, inspiration and support.
Coaching Format
I have two different, structured approaches to coaching that I offer clients. Although you can certainly request the format you prefer, there are likely certain coaching issues that are better served via one format versus the other.
In-Person Coaching.
Many Corporate clients prefer to meet face-to-face for their coaching sessions. Generally, I recommend in-person coaching for addressing highly personal developmental issues and for those issues where part of the coaching focus is on leadership/executive presence, presentation skills, etc. (Note: should these be your coaching concerns, but you live across the country or perhaps in a different country, we can look at addressing your needs through phone coaching integrated with additional technology such as web cams and you-tube video streams, to capture the ‘visual’ components as needed).
Phone Coaching.
Logistically, it is not always possible to provide in-person coaching for all of our clients. Therefore, most coaching is conducted by phone, with email backups. Generally speaking, one month of coaching would include three 45 minute phone coaching sessions, unlimited email contacts and two 10-minute emergency phone calls, as required. Although I refer to the coaching sessions as blocks of time (ie: 1 month), recognize that you needn’t ‘fit’ your sessions into that time frame if your schedule or preferences dictate that they are more spread out.
Additionally, I do have clients that have finished their ‘process’ but that want to stay in touch on a monthly basis to ensure that they continue to move forward. You can purchase a discounted ‘package’ of sessions and apply them over a greater period of time as desired.
Regardless of the format, you will always have homework of some kind to complete and possibly submit to me (via email) at least 24 hours prior to your next scheduled session. This accountability helps keep you moving through the process and not procrastinating. You can procrastinate on your own… you don’t need me to help you with that! Note that excuses like… ‘the dog ate my homework’ are not acceptable. You need to be committed to the process and the desired results. Doing the work is part of it!
Coaching Hours
My practice is a blend of Coaching, Training and Speaking engagements. As a result, I generally try to reserve set days for phone coaching, although I do try to maintain some flexibility. Most coaching occurs within the 7am to 6pm time frame, but I acknowledge that special situations and circumstances may require us to conduct our sessions in the evenings. If this is what you need, talk to me about it and I’ll see what I can do.
Packages
For Phone Coaching, the minimum coaching period is a one month block (3 sessions) for $450.00 Cdn. You can purchase blocks of time in advance at the following discounted rates.
3 months – 15%
6 months – 25%
12 months – 35%
Please note that if you purchase a block of time and cancel out of the sessions, with time remaining, I will refund you the unused portion. However, the unused portion will be refunded based on the pricing one tier down. For example… you purchased a 3 month block, used two months. I will refund you the unused portion but you will be charged the individual monthly rate for the two months used.
For In-Person Coaching, the base package includes 6 sessions (of 1.5 to 2 hours duration), a Prevue Personality assessment, unlimited email contacts and 4 10-minute emergency phone contacts, as required, for $2,500.00. Should travel expenses beyond the norm be incurred, these too will be charged back to the client.
Assessments
As part of the coaching process, it is essential that you come to know and understand yourself well. At any time that you feel it would be useful to you, I can have you complete a Prevue Assessment online. This Assessment will give you insight into your Personality Preferences, which has strong implications for how you prefer to approach, interact and work with others. There is an additional charge of $100.00 Cdn for the assessment, which would also include my coaching support for applying the learnings and messages to your goals and dreams. Note that this is additional for Phone Coaching but is included as part of the In-Person base coaching package
Billing
All charges are applied prior to the start of that block of coaching time. You can pay by credit card, cheque, money order or cash. Payments can be made out to: Titan Training. Should you wish, I can keep your credit card on file and process your payment each time you confirm your desire to continue on with your coaching process. The decision to continue is always yours. Stay in the process as long as you love the coaching and results. In general, as long as you are getting more value than the money spent.
Rescheduling
My commitment to you is that I will be available to you for our scheduled appointment. I stand behind this. If, for whatever reason, I am not able to keep our scheduled appointment, I will provide you with an additional session. This session will be over and above the re-scheduled make-up session.
Your commitment to the coaching process means that you need to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice of a need to reschedule. Without this notice you will be charged for the missed appointment. Yes, this means if you forget an appointment, you are charged. With more than 24 hours notice I will happily reschedule you. Let us be frank here though… if you are ‘constantly’ rescheduling I am likely to voice some concern about your commitment to the coaching process itself and may voluntarily refund your money, inviting you to find coaching support elsewhere!
Confidentiality
In my mind this goes without saying but, to make everything completely transparent… all of our sessions together are completely confidential. You are certainly free to share any of your coaching experiences with others, but I report only to you!
